cannot view images after i click on the thumbnails
« on: May 06, 2006, 09:20:36 pm »

i can view all the thumbnails perfectly fine. i click on a thumbnail and a page comes up (the url is the location of th e picture) that says:
Quote
"Not Found
The requested URL /pics/albums/userpics/10001/P5230243.jpg was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 301 Moved Permanently error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

i then ftp into my account the locate the actual picture. it is listed there within the directory with the same file name.
so i type the address in myself and i get the same error. i do this for again for other pictures, in other categories, same error but with their respective file names.

i have not viewed the gallery in a couple months nor added any files to it in quite a long time. not sure what happens if i upload new pictures.
i have the gallery over at http://www.eggraid.net/pics/index.php.

any ideas why this could be happening?

http://www.eggraid.net/pics/albums/userpics/10001/P5230243.jpg

if i paste the url into the browser, i get a different error than if i click on the link i provided above.

i did check my case sensitive situation within ftp and it is all lowercase.

no idea why it is happening. kinda lame

Looks like hotlink protection setup incorrectly.

Yes, it's possible. That's why Nibbler said it's incorrect.

The only URL that works for me is the one that Stramm provided, so it indicates that the files are not all lowercase. You might want to try using a different ftp client...

Also, if I disable referer sending, the link Stramm posted worked whether I clicked on it or if I copied/pasted it into the address bar. That again hints at screwy hotlink setup.

http://www.eggraid.net/pics/albums/userpics/10001/P5230243.JPG

you link to *.jpg
but it's JPG... -> 404

as already said... filenames are case sensitive. In your db the pic is stored as P5230243.JPG and not as P5230243.jpg. So it works when you serach for it and click the thumb. I do not know where you got that link from
