How would one go about disabling the 'user galleries' section?  I want to have only the categories/albums that I (as admin) setup to be the areas that the users can upload to.  I don't want them to have their own albums.  Can I accomplish this?  I tried a search but came up with nothing for "user galleries".  Thanks!

no results? This has been asked very often already - when getting no search results, rephrase your search. What's wrong with the docs? Disallow your users to have personal galleries on the groups page, get rid of the existing albums within your personal galleries and the "user galleries" section will disappear.

Same problem here
How do you get rid of the albums already created after dissalowing them?
You can dissallow further user albums being created and delete the pictures in existing albums but you can't delete the albums themselves.
If you go to "Albums" in admin mode, the albums created under the User Galleries category are not visible so you can't select them for deletion.

I figured it's pointless to make another thread like this.
Anyway, my problem is exactly the same. None of the usergroups can create new albums, but there appears to be 5 albums that have already been created but there's nothing I can do with them. The User galleries link is still displayed everywhere.

delete the albums and pictures in them and the user galleries category disappears
to delete empty albums
