URL Upload Script
« on: April 14, 2006, 11:18:05 am »

Hello,

I have stored my pictures on an other website then where I stored Coppermine. So I'm uploading URL's in the database of Coppermine.
My pictures are stored on www.lycos.nl and Coppermine is stored on www.jospix.nl

So I'm looking for a script to upload lots of pictures at once by URL. Now I have to fill it in by hand in Coppermine and can only do 3 at a time.

Does anybody know such a script?

Thanks in advance,

Jos

storing pics remotely is not supported. When using coppermine's uri upload feature, the pics are being downloaded from the remote host and stored on the server where your coppermine install resides, so you don't save any space by storing your pics on http://www.lycos.nl/ - the pics just exist twice. You (as coppermine admin) should use FTP-upload plus batch-add instead of URI upload over http. Therefor, the script that you're looking for won't solve your webspace issues, so there's no need for such a script. Please read the documentation that comes with coppermine and consider upgrading (although this won't help you save webspace).

Thanks for your reply. Okay I'll try the FTP-upload plus batch-add.
