Error uploading ...picmgmt.inc.php

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4688 bytes) in /var/www/html/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 259

this is the error message I get after a succesfull upload, before placeing the image in an album.

Filesize is 135kB.

My fileupload size is set to 3000.
Max width is set to 2048.
