php errors in installer
« on: March 16, 2006, 01:40:12 pm »

Hello, I've had a coppermine install for a while, so I decided to update it by doing a complete reinstall. I cleared all the tables from its database and deleted all the old files. When I try to install 1.4.4 I get the "ERROR" page about using a nuke portal, which I'm not, so I clicked "continue" which brings me to the install page. I enter all the information (checked about 3 times to make sure it was correct) and when I click "lets go" it sends me back to the nuke error page... A php error log was generated, containing these 2 lines:
[16-Mar-2006 06:33:06] PHP Notice:  Undefined index:  continue_anyway in C:\Apache2\hashmanconstruction\rover\install.php on line 21
[16-Mar-2006 06:33:06] PHP Notice:  Undefined variable: PHP_SELF in C:\Apache2\hashmanconstruction\rover\install.php on line 25

I'm running apache 2.0.55, php 5.1.2, and mysql 4.0.21

If you read the README it does say not to use PHP5 ;)

The notice in the readme is outdated and needs fixing - PHP5 is OK to use.
The issue you're having is related to the nuke check not working as expected, workaround has been discussed many times, here's one of the threads that contains the fix: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=26883.0
