Issues with new install
« on: March 02, 2006, 10:06:53 pm »

Hello, I just installed Coppermine 1.4.4 and pnCPG32 on to my test Postnuke .761, Coppermine install works fine uploaded a test image and setup pnCPG to have a left block displaying random images which all works fine.  Now comes the problem, when I click on the image in the Postnuke left block to expand it or open the gallery it trys to open Coppermine in a new page and what I get is this error: The requested URL /displayimage.php was not found on this server.  When I look at the address it's trying to go to, it is incorrect, my coppermine install is installed in the "coppermine" directory in the root of my webserver. So my setting in the pnCPG admin is coppermine, this is the web address it tries to open when I click on an image: http://localhost/displayimage.php?album=random&pos=-1&lang=english&theme=default This should be http://localhost/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=random&pos=-1&lang=english&theme=default when I correct it on the address bar the image display perfectly.  So my question is what's wrong?  Why does it show up fine in the left block but not when I click on it.  Also when I make the change to point correctly it is not logging me in to coppermine.

Any ideas?

Your settings seem correct. However to login, you need to take out the encryption of passwords or use Dynamic User Data as explained in the docs.
As for the link to Coppermine try to set it to "/coppermine"

I tried /coppermine for the link and it still does not open up.  Really weird that the block shows the random pictures but when you click on it to expand the picture or go to the gallery it does not work.

Thanks for your help

I have setup a left block to display random images, using the java applet for the floating menu.  When you hover over the image you get 3 options, 1. Expand Image, 2. Go to Gallery, 3. Email image. Even though the images show up in the block when ever I try to do any of those options it does not work / open.

I also setup a link in my main menu per directions I used {} instead of [] and it also does not work.  They all point to the incorrect address, is there any way that I can manully tell it where to go?

Thanks again

Really would not know. I suggest to start from scratch cause you must have made a mistake somewhere.
