Confirmation email not complete?

Installed this version direct from hosting control panel. All went OK but if a user registers, they receive the email that they need to respond to to activate their account.
The link that is given in that welcome email is incomplete.
Omits the first part & only has the .... "register.php? etc etc" which does work if you paste onto the "domainname/coppermine/..........."
Is there somewhere I can correct it?
I've done several searches but didn't find answer.

Don't use outdated versions, especially when starting from scratch. Use the most recent stable version from our page (currently cpg1.4.5)
