Problem with rating and views

I am running 3 instances of coppermine 1.4.4 (Upgraded from 1.4.3). In my site, even though the pictures are viewed several times, the counter remains at 0. Also, the picture rating is also not functioning but comments are functioning in a good way. I have enabled them all. what is this due to?
Is it something related to my theme?
I uses a theme which is designed from the classic theme.
