Php Include Question

hey , i recently worked on my copper mine (been busy). I change a few things like Skins , style etc. More importantly i change the need for "template.html" to "template.php".
So now im guessing since its template.php , i can do php command like php include.

When i tryed it nothing came up like it didn't work. It was weird but i sure you guys can help. :P
