Categories in columns
« on: December 02, 2005, 05:40:10 pm »

I just upgraded to 1.42 stable and while I like the new config options and admin tools a lot, I can't for the life of me figure out how to put the categories into columns again.  I'm using the theme igames and the 1.3 instructions don't work now and I don't know where to start looking.  Can someone help me out on this?

these are the instructions i followed to make the categories fall into 3 columns with 1.32 and 1.34.  http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15400.0  None of it really applies to 1.42 anymore

open up the sample theme's theme.php and copy $template_cat_list and the function theme_display_cat_list to your new 1.4 theme.php

Now compare them against the old instructions. http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=15400.msg107765#msg107765

Once you have the pieces in your theme.php there really isn't that many differences between the 1.3 themes and 1.4.

Good day,

Thanks for the help. I applied the changes and it ALMOST work for me.

If a category has no album in it or has  categories that have albums in them the mod inserts a blank cell.

         http://moulindelaforge.free.fr/cpg143/index.php

Could anyone help me with this ? It would be great having the categories displayed in two columns whatever their content

Thanks in advance,
Philippe

P.S : the STD BLK NOALB comments are kind of debug help for me to understand which template was used but did not help a lot :(
