question regarding the new bridge file for phpbb 2.0.18
« on: February 01, 2006, 08:45:38 pm »

Should the bridge file be used ONLY for 2.0.18, or also with newer versions of phpbb (I'm running 2.0.19)?  If it should be used with newer versions as well, what file is "my old bridge file"?  I saw in the locked thread that I had to copy over some of the code from my old bridge file to the new one... I assumed it was /bridge/phpbb.inc.php, but my current version of that file looks veerrrrry different from the new one that I downloaded (i.e. none of the "configuration" definitions near the top of the file).  Am I missing something?

Thanks.

What version of Coppermine are you using ?
I believe 1.33 - I can't login, so I can't see any of the behind-the-scenes stuff, so I can't look it up for sure.  FWIW.. my cookie name is currently cg133 (which is part of the reason why I think my coppermine gallery is 1.33).

Is there a way to find out for sure what version it is without being logged in?

I got my problem fixed (found the setting that needed to be changed via phpMyAmin).  If you want to answer my couple of questions for the good of the general public (assuming people actually search around here  ::) ) feel free, but I'm set.

The 2.0.18 bridge file is for 2.0.18 and upwards. It should look very similar to the older phpbb.inc.php bridge file, and the instructions were to copy your config settings that you entered into the old bridge file into the new one. That only applies when updating your phpbb from versions < 2.0.18 to a version >= 2.0.18
