Show thumbs of user albums on main page

I set up coppermine 1.43 a few days ago and it is working fine.

It's a very mighty gallery ... I love it ... but it takes a long time for me to understand this complex gallery  ::)

In my opinion only one option is missing ... a right to allow a user to create albums in a category ...
I searched a long time but didn't find a solution.

A workaround for me is to use user galleries instead of categories ...
I will create users with the name i want to use as a category.

Is it possible to configure the main page to show the user galleries in the same way like the standard main page does with the public categories ?
E.g. displaying 4 album thumbs under the username with associated name if the user has 4 albums ?
Can a newbie (like me) without a great php-knowledge do it ?   ;D
