Some users not logged in
« on: January 28, 2006, 05:16:29 am »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine1.4.3 and phpBB2:
Some members are logged in and can upload files, while some are not logged in and connot upload.

Coppermine install: http://ny-outdoors.com/Gallery/
Forum install: http://ny-outdoors.com/phpBB2/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.3
Forum version: phpBB2 v2.0.19
Test user account: test_account / fishing2006

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.ny-outdoors.com/phpBB2
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../phpBB2/
Use post-based groups?:  0

*Note* - user "test_account" CAN upload files and is logged in when logged in in phpBB2.  I am having a problem with a long-time member not being logged in and being unable to upload.  I, as the admin, am having no problems with this.

coppermine doesn't take into account if bbs users are members of secondary groups in your bbs (only the primary group is taken into account afaik). Take a look at the bbs profiles of the old users that don't work and the new users that do work - compare the two. Try to find out what difference in their profile is.

Yeah, I've been doing that in the phpMyAdmin.  Thanks for the help.  If I can't get it fixed, I guess I'll just have to turn bridging off and have them log-in twice, which is a pain in the arse.

I checked everything, and the member that was having problems is still not logged in.  I exported the phpbb_users table to my computer and went through it with a fine tooth comb.  Changed everything to match the test_account (well, everything that wouldn't mess up his profile), and still nothing.  I guess I'm gonna just have to get rid of the bridging for now.

BTW - I changed the password for the test_account.  If you're interested in helping, PM me and I'll tell you the new password then.
