For reference, there's also a plugin to control full-size photo access on the plugins board.

Hi Paver,

I browsed the link you provided briefly, and will read it more.  Is it correcct to extrapolate  that this will also prevent robots and other automated scripts from mass harvesting the large photos? Also, when you state full-size photos, did you mean the "original" only?  Or, does this include large intermediate (i.e., "normal")  photos also?

Right now, the plugin only controls access to the "click to pop-up" images, which are the original images if the intermediate images are created (as set in config and if the original images are larger the intermediate image sizes).

There was a request to control the intermediate images as well, but I haven't gotten around to implementing that yet.  For that case, you can use the simple one-line hack mentioned in the FAQ.

Yes, if you make sure "Guests" or "Anonymous" (whatever your anonymous group is named on the Groups Manager) is unchecked, then roving bots won't see the full-size popup link.

Glad to know this Paver,

I spend a lot of time selecting photos and selecting photographers with good photos.  It would be unfortunate if a bot would then just steal them.  I will study the plugin more.

Thanks again.
