Troubles with PostNuke main menu
« on: December 26, 2003, 06:58:55 pm »

Hi, I'm installing pnCPG into my postnuke site. It's really easy, except this step:

5.  Link the module into a menu block as : {pnCPG}
        or as :
{pnCPG:main&task=users} to have a direkt link into a users gallery

Which I /have done/, but creates a link error. What'd I do wrong?

I have set:

pnCPG hack module into :
modules/pnCPG
and it's initialized and activated.

pnCPG in:
galleries
pnCPG hack module is configured this way:
'/galleries' (without the apostraphes.)

Did you copy index_pn.php to the root directory of Coppermine ?
Is your site open to the public ?

Whoa! A reply!
Guess that's what I should expect for posting during the holidays ;)

Yes, index_pn.php is in the coppermine directory, and the site is open to the public. you can take a peek at

http://tkn.arcticfuzz.dk

Right now the directory structure concerning coppermine is:

root
| -html
| --galleries (coppermine directory)
| --modules
| ---pnCPG

*postnuke content is located under html.

And the pnCPG admin panel is configured to use just 'galleries' as the Coppermine location.

You'll notice links to coppermine in my front page, but you should be notified that they are http links, and not using {pnCPG} as the link. If you try to click on an image in the random image block, you'll find the 404 error.[/url]

Strange, I never received the e-mail with your reply.
Anyway, will be on top of this one.
Can you put the block back or make a menu-item with pnCPG ?

Done, as you requested.

The CPG random block is now displaying in the center block of the front page of http://tkn.arcticfuzz.dk, and the menu link under 'Site Sections' now uses {pnCPG} instead of http://tkn.arcticfuzz.dk/galleries as the link.

Also available is a link 'My Galleries' for registered users.

I appreciate your patience with my spotty replies. I kinda get lost in coding for other sections of TKN sometimes..

If we can talk by email, I can allow you a greater range of access to the site. I do believe that would made debugging a little faster.

Thank you again, -Illys/Jeanette
