help!!
« on: December 25, 2003, 07:50:44 pm »

im having some serious issues with this.  first i uploaded about 20 pics individual because i couldn't figure out how to do the batch.  then when i figured it out, i tried copying my pics from frontpage directories into the user pics directory.  nothing showed up that i had copied.

so back to uploading individually and none of my pics will upload.  i keep getting The picture 'albums/userpics/10001/2003_1225xmas0002.JPG' can't be inserted in the album

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

Warning: imagejpeg(): gd-jpeg: JPEG library reports unrecoverable error: in /export/web20/alpha/clubd004/www/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 185

Warning: getimagesize(): Read error! in /export/web20/alpha/clubd004/www/gallery/include/picmgmt.inc.php on line 193
'critical error'

all my pics are the same size and i didn't have this problem for the first 20 pics or so....

can anyone help!!  please!!

You say you are uploading your pics into the 'userpics' directory.  That is a no-no.  that directory is only for albums created by coppermine itself, and pics uploaded by the upload facility.

You should ftp to directories in the albums directory which you can create yourself,  remember to make them writable.  Then use the batch-upload facility.

When you open it, you should see your directories shown as well as the userpics directory, and every thing should work.
