Group permissions in bridged phpbb and gallery
« on: May 12, 2006, 05:28:01 pm »

I wanted to be able to set specific permissions for groups from phpbb in coppermine.  In other words, I don't want everyone that registers for my forums to be able to upload pictures to my website.  Only certain admin assigned groups can upload pictures.
I've done some expeirmenting with setup and searched, but haven't found any help.

Forums phpbb 2.0.19

Gallery   1.4.5

test user: member test
test p/w: test

any direction would be very much appriciated.
btw, thanks for the help on bridging, worked perfectly with 1.4.5.

When you are registered on the forums, you have member permissions on the gallery.  regardless of your group status.
I didn't see anything in FaQ, search, config, or admin to change group permissions for gallery.
Is there a way to use groups assigned in phpbb and set gallery permissions based on these groups?

Got it.  I had to change it to use post based groups then I had the ability to set registered to no permissions, and all the groups imported from phpbb to set specific permissions.
Thanks for pointing in the right direction.
