Rename/change administrator account

Is there a way to rename the main admin account ?

Using coppermine's user interface: no. Using a third-party database manipulation tool like phpMyAdmin: yes. Why don't you just log in as primary admin, create another user account, make him admin, log out, log in with the new admin account and delete the old admin account?
