install.php problem

being an complete novice to everything regarding php, mysql etc. this question might be quite offensive to some of you experts. still i hope for your support answering my question: while trying to run the install.php intalling 1.2.1 i receive the following error message:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in /home/bewal002/public_html/coppermine/install.php on line 400

anybody know of a sollution to this? :idea: best regards - ben

no i did not change nothing. it's the original file that comes with the standalone package.

what versions of php and mysql do you run? (see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php?q=VersionPHP#VersionPHP )
Please note: you'll need at least PHP 4.1.0 and mySQL 3.23.23 (see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php?q=MinimumRequirements#MinimumRequirements )

thanks for your help folks, turns out to be a mySQL probblem. gotta start begging my server administrator now.
