An Error On The Page...
« on: December 28, 2005, 06:28:52 pm »

Alright I have 1.4.3 and I got my MySQL setup and everything and all the permissions set to 777 and the coppermine folder is in my FTP with all the files but when I go to type in http://www.lauren-conrad.net/coppermine/install.php I get a "Page is not found" page that comes up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The folder in my FTP is names "coppermine" and mySQL database is named coppermine... I don't really know what I'm doing wrong. Anyone know?  ???

Is the coppermine folder in the correct folder that holds your web files? Is the folder in the same folder as this file? http://www.lauren-conrad.net/index.html

Okay thanks I got that fixed... I should have known that sorry. But now I can't get the MySQL stuff to go through I keep getting this message:

• • • ERROR • • •
The following errors were encountered and need to be corrected first:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user: 'laurenconrad@localhost' (Using password: YES)

And when I made my MySQL stuff I put a file into notepad to remind me of the stuff and this is what I had:
MySQL Info:

laurenf_coppermine = database name (when a script calls for it)
laurenf = account name
coppermine = database name
username = laurenconrad
password = *******

Now I'm putting in the "MySQL Database Name" " laurenf_coppermine " and for the "MySQL Username" "laurenconrad" and then for the password what my password is for everything. And the other two are staying the same... so what am I doing wrong?  ???

After creating the username, did you add it to the database? The second step gives the user permission to access the database.

To help others who might have the same issue, could you please share the solution?
