Changing "original" admin name and password ?
« on: December 11, 2005, 08:21:35 pm »

I'm a new user finding my way around Coppermine.
Is it possible to ever go back and change the original username and password entered during setup or is it simpler just to start afresh ?

Thanks, Andrew

why go back and change it? Just create another admin account, make sure it works, then disable or delete the original account.
If you must change it, use a tool like phpMyAdmin (not recommended for newbies).

That was too easy :)  Actually I had tried it already but it still didn't let me change anything - until I perservered after your reply and tried logging in as the new admin.

Thanks, Andrew
