Intergrating Coppermine with Bulletin Board
« on: December 16, 2003, 08:36:03 am »

I'm using Invision Power Board for a forum (I like the calendar funtion to name a few) and would like to only have one set on users for both Coppermine photo album and my Invision Power Board.  I would like to see if there someone out there who can intergrate them both or comeout with the power and security of both in one package which allows the option at setup to install one or both areas.  This would be a very powerful site tool.  At this time they have to log into both areas seperate.

Zrain, you can easily integrate CPG and IPB with the bridge files and instructions provided.
A couple of months ago, I had a installation of IPB 1.2 and CPG 1.1 working smoothly so you shouldn't have a problem.

As for a combined installer, I don't believe someone will ever do that, because is a waste of time.

Youhoo,

That is how the BBS integration is supposed to work.  Are you trying to use the BBS integration?

AFAIK...you must set the cookie names different from eachother and you must have both the BBS and coppermine tables in the same mysql DB.

youhoo,

I think you are having a problem with the re-direct not re-directing you back to coppermine after a successful login.  Also like I said above...I think the cookie names muist be different.  I do not use the BBS, so this is the best I can do to help.  Perhaps someone else uses your BBS can assist you further.

zarsky's right: there must be different cookie names!
