phpbb bridge help please

total newbie question I think.
I understand the whole bridg process right up to step 5.3.4.1 For phpBB only
Can someone explain exactly what I need to put where?
I have it installed on the same server and the top level directory is /gallery

ok think Ive cracked it, however when I click login it takes me to the forum which I'm already logged into. I logged out, cleared my cookies, exited browser totally, then went back into browser, went to gallery, clicked login, took me back to forum which I logged into, went back to gallery and again, nothing  :'(

Set the cookie path to / as instructed in the bridging documentation.
