« on: December 03, 2005, 01:35:30 pm »

Hello,

I´ve installed CPG 1.3.1 and when I´ll upload an Video File (as Admin),

Warning: getmypid() has been disabled for security reasons in /usr/export/www/vhosts/funnetwork/hosting/maenner/cpgbyinf/upload.php on line 1615

Warning: fopen(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /usr/export/www/vhosts/funnetwork/hosting/maenner/cpgbyinf/upload.php on line 1628

Warning: fopen(http://www.langemeyer.net/CIMG0026.AVI): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /usr/export/www/vhosts/funnetwork/hosting/maenner/cpgbyinf/upload.php on line 1628

comes.

The File will be upload by URI from http://www.langemeyer.net/CIMG0026.AVI

this means that your webhost has disabled the fopen option, so you simply can't use url upload, simple as that. If you're not happy with this, you'll have to ask your webhost to enable fopen for you, however they probably won't do this because there are security reasons that probably made them disallow you to use this option. Url upload is silly anyway, I can see little use for this option. You (as admin) should use FTP-upload plus batch-add anyway (refer to the docs for details), especially for large files like movies.

In any case, you should at least upgrade to cpg1.3.5 - cpg1.3.1 has known security issues!
