I have followed the proper installion as Coppermine has suggested.  I have done everything and followed all instructions.  When I go to upload images via FTP or upload them directly from my comptuer I get this message

is there something that I'm doing wrong when I installed Coppermine somewhere?  Or should I just have my webhost install Coppermine for me?

Are chmod settings correct?
If you uploaded a folder you had to chmod this folder to 777.
