Issues in moving CPG folder to root of subdomain?
« on: November 17, 2005, 02:05:08 pm »

I have a subdomain for my galleries (gallery.domain.com). I have followed install documentation and copied my CPG folder to this subdomain. It mostly seems to work (I do have an issue changing themes), but the URL must be gallery.domain.com/cpg/ and I really want it in the root, as this is why I created the subdomain! Ideally, what I really want is something like gallery.domain.com/user_gallery_name or gallery.domain.com/users/gallery_name. Currently I am not redirecting anything on this subdomain, and I don't expect anything but CPG to be there.

What is the best way to do this? And if I were to just copy the contents of my CPG folder to the root of my subdomain, are there configs or other scripts that will get screwed up?

Thank you,

Christian

before you play with stuff always make a backup.
Then move everything to the root. After that change in config the ecard target address to reflect the changes. There shouldn't be any problems.

Browse the mods and hacks board. I've seen one that's close to what you're looking for. Think the hack was named 'short urls to user albums'
