MOVING from one host to another - from 1.3.1 to 1.3.5
« on: November 17, 2005, 01:09:13 pm »

I have searched for the same topics but didn't find any familiar.

I'm moving from old hoster to another, and also want to upgrade from 1.3.1 to 1.3.5, and of course want to save all my 4,000 pictures.
Is it really possible?
All I need is to dumb MySQL and move files using ftp?

I've already installed 1.3.5 to the new host.

Please, give an advice... it's sad losing 4,000 images... and it's sad to have 1.3.1 because it has some bugs that were annoying:)

basically yes... you adapt config.inc.php when your files are on the new box (database user/pwd etc) and then you open config and adjust path to ImageMagick (if you use it) and the ecard target address

and run update.php when you've restored your database
