Filmstrip?

Is there any possibility to edit the filmstrip? I want a thumbnail at the left and one at the right beside the big picture. It would look much better. A mouseover effect would be also greatfull. normel it looks brightly an on mouseover it should look normal color.
Any ideas? :?:
