How to ?
« on: November 02, 2005, 09:14:14 am »

Hey all, I've a question. Until now I've used basic features of coppermine as I've had so few pictures that I didn't care much.

My site is growing as unespected, and I don't have much time to manage my pictures. I'm coming to "automation".
My problem is that I've many categories with many albums. in one category I've up to 90 albums. When receiving a new picture, I've to manage the place where I've to put the picture. That's isn't a pain, but receiving 10 pictures a day, it is.

The ideal would be to be able to upload on a certain directory and Coppermine will be able to manage new pictures itself. Or just upload pictures and let Coppermine manage the album's tree.
let's say I create a cat: nature
then some sub-cat: mountain, lake, plain, etc...
my directory tree would be: nature/mountain/mointain1.jpg...
Coppermine should be able to create categories and pictures list just by using the directory tree.
Then it should also be able to manage search engine like using moutain in the search text, it should find the text mountain in the categories and also in the filename.

My question is: does this feature (or similar) exist ?

Thanks for reply.

Bob
