Hey everyone
« on: October 24, 2005, 12:18:24 pm »

Hey everyone looks like a nice community here  8) anyway!

I have downloaded cpg1.3.5 uploaded all the files, navigated to the install.php managed to change the properties of the certain files to 777 then on the next page creating the new Database and database name in Mysql is proving annoying for me!

My server has Cpanel 10.8.0-CURRENT 64
MySQL version     4.1.13-standard-log
Apache version     1.3.33 (Unix)
Operating system     Linux

I tried creating a new Database and new username but for some reason it doesn't accept in the install.php I get this error:

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user 'bigdaz69'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Could someone please point me in the right direction hopefully I'm doing something very small wrong  :-\\

Please reply appreciate it a lot,
daZiiii_boi!

Run through this guide to setting up a database in cPanel:

Your username probably has a prefix you need to prepend to the username you created.

coppermine doesn't create a mysql table for you, it assumes that it already exists. That's something you have to do with another app like cpanel, as Nibbler suggested.

Typing mistake by GauGau, it should be mysql database instead of mysql table
