Re: phpBB -> Coppermine log-in issues

phpBB: http://www.theworldofstuff.net/forums/
Coppermine: http://www.theworldofstuff.net/pictures/
Username: demo
Password: test

I have gone over and over this a hundred times and I can't seem to figure out what I'm missing, so I would also appreciate some help on this.

phpbb.inc.php
Code: [Select]
// database configuration
define('PHPBB_DB_NAME', 'ampmus2_phpb1'); // The name of the database used by the board
define('PHPBB_BD_HOST', 'localhost'); // The name of the database server
define('PHPBB_DB_USERNAME', '*****'); // The username to use to connect to the database
define('PHPBB_DB_PASSWORD', '*****'); // The password to use to connect to the database

// The web path to your phpBB directory
// If your URL to your board is for example 'http://yoursite_name.com/phpBB2/',
// you'll have to set the below var to '/phpBB2/'.
define('PHPBB_WEB_PATH', '/forums/');
// Logout Flag
// the value of this boolean constant depends on your phpBB version:
// If your version of phpBB is 2.0.4 or lower - change the value to FALSE;
// if your version of phpBB is 2.0.5 or newer - leave it as TRUE
define('PHPBB_LOGOUT_GET', TRUE);
// ------------------------------------------------------------------------- //
// You can keep the default values below if your instalation is standard
// ------------------------------------------------------------------------- //
// The prefix for the phpBB cookies
define('PHPBB_COOKIE_PREFIX', 'phpbb2mysql'); // The prefix used for board cookies

cpg_redir.php
Code: [Select]
<?php
if (!$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) {

$cpg_host=$HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_HOST'];
} else {

$cpg_host=$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'];
}
$cpg_path='/pictures';
header("Location: http://".$cpg_host.$cpg_path);
exit;
?>

Basically what's happening is, well, nothing.  I can log into Coppermine with no problems, I can log into phpBB with no problems, but they don't bridge at all.  I can click a link in phpBB over to Coppermine and I will not be logged in (whether I was logged in before or not).  If I were to login to Coppermine, close the window and then manually type the URL, I'm still logged in.  So it seems it is trying to log me in, but failing, so it's leaving me logged out.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.  Another point of interest that may shed a little more light (may not too) is that I linked my Nucleus (blog) install to my phpBB install too, so if you link over from phpBB to Nucleus you're automatically logged in, and any posts in Nucleus cross-post into phpBB.  I don't think this would cause any problems with Coppermine trying to bridge with phpBB, but I may be wrong.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you've missed the step that involves editing init.inc.php
