Best Forum to use for Integration
« on: October 10, 2005, 03:09:30 pm »

Had a quick question about which forum software will integrate the best with CPG. I like the thought of using a free version like PHPBB and SMF. However, there seem to be more PHPBB questions in this support forum, making me feel that it might not integrate as easily as others. But it could also be that most people use PHPBB more than others. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Thanks.

All open source forum software is well supported here, you're only likely to have problems if you want to bridge with commercial software. This board is SMF, so is obviously the one favoured by us.

jg,

You might want to take a look at this one. http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=13223.msg50149#msg50149

I don't know if it will be all that you want.  But it looks simple enough.

Thanks for the reply. I did notice that SMF was used by this board, so that might be the best bet for me. PHPbb is a close second now.

madeinhawaii, I saw that thread, and almost installed it because it seemed like a nice and easy forum. But I decided since I'm no longer taking the easy route, I should get one with tons of features :) Thanks.
