thumb for user galleries category?

can we insert a graphic or thumb in the User Galleries Home page category listing?  I see the code in the theme;s template file that builds the category rows, but that's a loop and of course would repeat the same image for each category.

No, the user gallery section currently can't have a thumbnail representing it. Not sure if anyone has posted a mod to accomplish this.
