Install error...

I am using hostgator and I have used live support to try and get help, they tell me ImageMagiK is located at /usr/bin/ dispite their website FAQ saying /usr/bin/X11/
Anyway when attempting an install I get "The installer can not find the '/usr/bin/' directory you have specified for ImageMagick or it does not have permission to access it. Check that your typing is correct and that you have access to the specified directory."

Also does it matter if you install into a password protected dir or not?

Please understand that we can not give server setup support on this board (as it's dedicated to coppermine). There have been some posting on how to find out about the image magick functionality though, and what you can do to find out more about it. Please search the board thorougly.
