Point your browser to wherever you uploaded your Coppermine files.  We don't know where you put your files.

coppermine_dir is just an example. Your gallery is actually here (apparently installed already): http://www.pinoybabes.com/photogallery/

When you signed up with pinoybabes.com didn't they give you a 'domain name'?

What you should be typing in is:  Http://your_new_domain_name/name_of_coppermine_install_folder/install.php

where "your_new_domain_name"  is replaced with the the url they gave you or the domain name you signed up with your webhost.

and "name_of_coppermine_install_folder" is replaced with the name of the folder in which your coppermine install.php is located.

This is where it's stored:

stmarys.cagayanvalley.com/cpg133/install.php

I presume that's what I enter but it doesn't go anywhere when I try and enter it.

Hysteria,

I can get to "http://Http://stmarys.cagayanvalley.com/"  but not "http://stmarys.cagayanvalley.com/cpg133/" .  This kind of indicates to me that the folder cpg133 doesn't exist in the right place.   Usually your host server provides you with a couple of places to upload your folders and files.  Most commonly, public_html for your website and public_ftp for uploads by others.  Your coppermine folder should reside in the public_html folder. If you do not have a public_html folder, check your service provider's instructions as to where to install your website folder and files.

In the member area there are 8 options:

'Account Data'
'Change Password'
'File Manager' (where the files currently are at the minute, it allows the creation of directories and files if this is any significance.)
'Install Forum'
'phpMyAdmin'
'Delete DB'
'Delete Account'
'Upgrade'

Should I create the said folders in there or would it not make any difference?

When you click on the FileManager doesn't it display a number of pre-existing folders and files?

Hmmm. Try contact your hosting service and ask them if there is a specific folder you need to create where you are supposed to upload your website files.

Other than that, you might look for an "index.html" (not the ones in the coppermine folders) but somewhere else in your site.   Click on it and see if it is the default page one sees when they log onto " http://stmarys.cagayanvalley.com".   If you can find it, that's where your folder should be.

I don't understand why the http://stmarys.cagayanvalley.com comes up with cPanel.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere within the account that allows me to edit that page  >:(

When I look at what I've uploaded which Coppermine files should I be able to see? (without clicking on any of the files), as there's an index file there, but I'm not sure if it's part of Coppermine or not.

Chances are you will see your coppermine folder "cpg133" and an index.html file.  We are looking for an index.htm or index.html file that is NOT in the cpg133 folder.

When you click on that index.htm or html file, you should see your default homepage.  The one that everyone would see when they go to your URL.

http://cagayanvalley.com/cms/forum_viewtopic.php?48.746   Aysoos, my understanding of filipino dialects is but one or two words -- none of which I can say around women and children, :-)  but you may want to look around this forum for installation instructions specific to your host.

Hysteria,
Post your install question on the Pinoybabes.com forum or Cagayanvalley.com forum. Someone there can tell you exactly where your uploaded files should be.  They use Coppermine as well.

Hysteria,

I just got an email response from Andy, one of the Administrators for your webhost.  He says the subdomains for cagayanvalley.com and loversinparis.com are still not operable.  He didn't say when they would be either.  I guess you'll just have to sit and wait.  I'm somewhat curious as to how you found their service as they are relatively new with only 186 members and what looks like two administrators.

Ah ok, thanks for finding that out anyway.

I may try and find another free host in the meantime, as ideally I'd like to get the gallery set up before this time next week.

Trouble is they're pretty hard to come by, that's the only one I've found so far where I've managed to actually create the database  :-\\

I'd signed up here http://free-mysql.bizhostnet.com/, but I could never get it to connect, or actually see where you can log in to do anything.

What are you expecting to login to ? All they will give you is a username and password by which you can connect to your database.

Oh right I see. I was thinking you had to configure your database somewhere within your hosted account.

I've just been given a username and password. What do I do with them in order to upload my Coppermine gallery?

You need to upload the coppermine files to some webspace and then enter the details given to you into the installer when prompted. Be aware that you need webspace to install coppermine aswell as a mysql database.

Right, I've signed up to 100webspace and have successfully created a database.

Where should I be uploading Coppermine to?

I've seen that a couple of people are using/have used 100webspace so hopefully they can point me in the right direction.
