Changing the Bridge from PHPBB to IPB, possible?
« on: September 01, 2005, 04:39:26 am »

Right now it works like a charm. Currently, I have my phpbb forum bridged with this Image Gallery software. I plan on converting my phpbb forum (currently 2.0.17) to IPB (version 2.0.4) in a week or 2. I simply guess that I got to go into the bridge file and change it back to the original file (without enabled bridging to PHPBB) and then setup the bridging to IPB. It sounds simple but does it work? I will be converting the PHPBB members/posts to IPB and I'm hoping it is just a simple fix to change the bridge.

Thanks.

I don't believe you need a test account for this. If so, I shall create one.

If the conversion process keeps everyone's user ids the same then there should be no problem.

do you have any suggestions I do to prepare for this (besides backing it all up)?

So the user id needs to be the same? I think...I can work around that...I believe that shouldn't be a problem because it keeps the user id made in PHPBB.
