I get the following :

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

I have changed the parameters in the include/config.inc.php (I hope I got them right)

Any suggestions?

nothing we can do about that. Ask your webhost if you're not sure about your db settings.
