Passwords not encrypted ???
« on: August 23, 2005, 05:19:34 pm »

After installing, I see that passwords are not encrypted...  ??? >:(

Am I missing some what to turn this on?  Our internal standards require only systems with password encryption be used.  I must be missing something, right?  If not in the product, is there a mod???

Thanx

I just installed the latest version downloaded from sourceforge...

Encrypted passwords are not supported by 1.3. md5 hashed passwords is available as an option in the next version of Coppermine, 1.4. There is a mod available for 1.3 I believe if you check the mods board. You could alternatively bridge coppermine to a forum and make use of the forum's password security features.
