Bridging with PHPBB
« on: August 21, 2005, 01:38:36 pm »

Since doing this on this site I've lost a lot of the great functionality that Coppermine has.

For example, when a user registers, theyu do not automatically get their own gallery to upload to.  I, as administrator have to create one for them by making them an administrator, changing their password, logging in as them and uploading an image.  Is there any way to sort this out?

None of the resigered users can edit their own albums either!  Can you help with these two problems please?

you don't make users admin, in no case, never ever! They can create their own user gallery if they want to, this is merely a matter of setting coppermine up correctly, using coppermine's config screen and the groups manager it comes with. Read the sticky thread on this board if you need details, and post the necessary data as suggested in the sticky thread.

Thanks GauGau

All sorted - using phpmyadmin I've changed the setting to allow users to setup their own album and this has also meant they can edit the existing images and description in there too, cheers.

how's phpMyAdmin related? This is done in coppermine's user interface. However, if you prefer fiddling with phpMyAdmin...nevermind. Glad you were able to sort this out.
