How to disable dia show?

Hi,
i didnīt found a way in admin section to permanently switch off the possibility to display photos with the dia show.
Can anybody help me?

It's called a file strip and can be disabled using the 'Show film strip' option in config.

I think this is a misunderstanding due to my not-so-perfect english.
What i actually mean is the slide show.

You can comment out the slideshow button in your theme's theme.php
