unembed video
« on: November 19, 2005, 10:05:01 pm »

I was wondering if there's a way to have videos displayed as a clickable screenshot thumbnail. linking to the video file (so that a standalone video player will launch to play the video). I don't like having video embedded in the page.

Thanks! That's pretty much exaclty what I wanted. The custom thumbnails (method 2, ftp the video and thumb_ and then batch upload) doesn't seem to be working universally, but it is working for some of the video files. I think the reason the embedded video doesn't work for me in firefox is because they are AVI files instead of MPG.

I figured out the thumbnail problem. I had files name IMG_1245.AVI and thumb_IMG_1245.JPG, renaming them both to all lower case and rerunning the batch add fixed it.
