[Help wanted]: Translations for CPG1.4.x
Joachim Müller:
After the beta release of cpg1.4.1, there shouldn't be any more changes in the language file structure for cpg1.4.x, so we could use your help:
Translations would be very welcome. Although cpg1.4.x introduces a "language fallback" feature that displays text strings that don't exist in your language file in english, it would of course be nice if we could get as many localizations of coppermine as possible. To read more about how to create additional language files for cpg1.4.x, please refer to the Translator's guide that comes as well with the coppermine package.
Once you translated and tested coppermine into your language, just zip the file and attach it to your reply to this thread (using the "Additional options" link at the bottom left of the page when composing your message).
I will update this thread asap.

CapriSkye:
is utf-8 being used as the default now?
i have a question about utf-8.
i know it's done automatically, but there are some issues.
i'm able to change the encoding from big5 to utf-8 without problem.
would it be okay if i send you the language in both big5 and utf-8?

yes
Joachim Müller:
Re-thinking the method we used in the past to get our language file: we used to send language files around, which is not a very bright idea, so this is the suggested method:
1) Get the most recent cpg1.4.x package from the download section
2) Get the most recent english language file from the CVS
3) Post a reply on this very thread, saying that you're about to translate language xxx for cpg1.4.x
4) Do the actual translation (take your time, test it on your install)
5) Zip your language file and attach it to a new reply on this board (using "Additional Options" when composing your message)

CapriSkye:
i've finished traditional chinese.
i've found some problems though.
when the language fallback feature is turned on, and going to admin tools, i get $lang_util_desc_php being called twice.
when the feature is turned off, it will show chinese like it suppose to, but when it's on, it shows both english and chinese.
also when turn on the language flag selection, chinese traditional and chinese simplified is switched.
the flag is correct, just the popup infomation is wrong.
i will edit this post and attach the language when i'm done testing.
thanks
