turning off gallery
« on: July 28, 2005, 12:06:06 am »

I'm getting so frustrated. Why can't I turn my gallery off? Here is a screenshot.

I have it set like that, and clicked "save new configuration" But when I go back, it's back to "no" again. What is going on????

I upgraded to 1.3.3 not long ago, and it still does that.  :(

Did you upload all files from the cpg1.3.3 as suggested in the docs (upgrade section) and then run update.php? Post a link to your site and use versioncheck.php to find out if you have successfully updated all files.

Ran versioncheck and found language files from 1.3.2. Can I delete some of these?

Yes, you can delete all languages you don't need, see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#minimumInstall
However, there's something fishy: when running update.php on your site (i.e. http://www.darthsheba.ripside.com/gallery/update.php), I don't get a list of db updates performed. Have you made sure to upload the files within the "sql" folder from the cpg1.3.3 package? It's mandatory!

The "sql" files were uploaded. To be on the safe side I deleted them and uploaded fresh copies. The language files I don't need were deleted. I ran update.php and everything seems to be in place. Now the gallery is offline.  8)
