New installation?
« on: July 10, 2005, 11:08:25 pm »

When uploading coppermine to my server, what should I create a new directory fo rthe file, put the files into my public/html directory (where my site files reside), or?  The unzipped coppermine file creates a folder named cpg1.3.3. inside anohter folder named cpg1.3.3  -   When uploading, do I leave the files all in that main folder, upload only the subfolder, can I/should I  rename either folder?  Any help appreciated.

Depends on where you want coppermine to be on your site. If you want it to be http://yoursite.com/gallery then you need to rename the coppermine folder to gallery, and make sure that gallery has the subfolders - include, themes, sql, etc plus the loose files. If you want coppermine to be the main feature of your site at http://yoursite.com/ then upload all the subfolders and files directly into your public_html.
