Problem with blocks instalation
« on: July 10, 2005, 11:53:57 am »

Another problem with pncpg blocks (pncpg 2.6, MDPro).
When the prefix of cpg tables isn't default, after pncpg blocks instalation there is error message (conection with db problem or sth like this). In effect, access to MDPro Admin panel by browser is blocked.

To change it, I had to edit content in database tables... Of course, during instalation process all parameters entering by me in blocks cfg was correct.

Peter,
most likely you did make a mistake entering the parameters. It happens quite often. Pergaps I have to change the block settings so it reads the config from Coppermine. The mistake is around the prefix of the tables.
Anyway version 2.7 is available although there are no changes in that area.
Finally always install your blocks such that you still can access your admin section, for PostNuke it means start installing on the right side.

I know, that it happens, but not that time - I did install pnCPG three times in different places (two times on local machine in two different version of MDPro) and the effect was the same - first install of blocks set default prefix and sending error.

Maybe in last ver. pnCPG is different.
