Switching Servers problem...really need help
« on: June 20, 2005, 06:46:24 pm »

I have uploaded all my coppermine photo galleryfiles from my previous server to my new one (exact directory structure) and I installed phpMyAdmin myself and I accessed it using the correct host "localhost" and correct username and password and all.  Then, I had backed up my database from my previous server and so I set it as a text file and loaded it up in phpMyAdmin and it said it was successful.  But, when i try to go to the gallery it says something like "Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database

MySQL said: Access denied for user: '******@localhost' (Using password: YES)"
Any idea what I am doing wrong...? I need help on this immediately...members are getting agitated lol.  thanks!  I mean I just am not sure what to edit...was I suppose to fully reinstall Coppermine onto my new server before uploading my database from my old server? I have read all the other posts and what not but I can't seem to figure it out.  Help would be much appreciated!

You need to edit include/config.inc.php and enter the new database info.
