MySQL Error Out of Nowhere

Photoalbum had been working fine and then all of the sudden one day I get this error -

Notice: Undefined index: debug_mode in /home/www/hagrin/photoalbum/include/functions.inc.php on line 96
Fatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query

Any ideas? 

I don't want to have to start all over.

try running update.php http://www.yoursite.com/yourgallery/update.php

See if that corrects the problem.
