registered and guest permissions
« on: August 18, 2005, 08:18:43 pm »

I've set up my gallery so only registered users can se the images. I also want to be able to send out the occasional generic login (guest/guest sort of thing) but don't want these people to be able to comment or send postcards. I don't see how I could do this though as I only have permission options for me/registered/anon/banned. I would love the option to allow 2 groups to see files, then I could set up another group called guest or something and allow them only the proviliges I want, but let them see all the same images as registered users.

Is this possible?

thanks in advance

I wish I knew!  ???

in the "album can be viewed by" box, I only have the option of registered users....or another group, I can't choose both.

You would need to create a new group that includes the two groups and then give permission to that new group.

interesting.....

so I'd have visitors that can't see anything, and "registered" that can see files and comment and send ecards and "registered guest" that can see files, but can't comment or send e-cards - how could I then combine them into one group for viewing permissions?

thanks in advance
