Moving pics from one album to another album

Moving pics from one album to another album

I can not believe that this great program has no way for the Admin to move pics from one album to another. Without being able to do this, a photo gallery can really begin to get messy with members uploading to an incorrect album.

I have multiple albums and I know that when I upload new pics that I am constantly forgetting to choose the correct album and they end up getting uploaded to the 1st album in the pull-down list to choose from on the upload screen. Then I have to go back and delete them and re-upload them to the correct album.

I just had 3 new images uploaded by a new member and the member uploaded them to the wrong album that is totally off topic. I can not delete them and upload them myself (well, I guess I can), but all stats and info will be directed to me and not the member who uploaded them originally.

How can get move them to the correct album???

Is there a MOD or something???

No mod needed, this function is already there, and can be done from 2 different places.

First, in the edit pics area, where you can edit each file within an album.  Just click the album name dropdown box next to each pic to move it.  Don't forget to click 'apply modifications' at the bottom when done.

Secondly, when in the displayimage page, click the edit description button under the photo, and do the same as above.

Thanks, I found it. Sometimes the things that are right in front of your face are the hardest things to find ;)

OK Let's try this one more time. I have CPG 1.3.2
I'm trying to move a pic from one album to another (both under the same user).
The drop down "Album" name list is empty in both instances (both under 'Edit Description' and 'Edit Files'). Is this a functionality that should work under 1.3.2 - I don't want to upgrade just yet, just for this one reason.

Tx, Nilesh.

The reason to upgrade is not to fix this particular issue, but for security reasons. Please read the super-sticky thread about the upgrade!
