cookies and search
« on: May 15, 2005, 12:48:45 am »

I'm having the same problem that many other people have had -- a cookie issue that results in "No Image to Display" after a succesful search.   There are a ton of posts on this topic, and I know that a usual fix is to get the user to clear their cookies & file cache.  (If you want to see exactly how many different times this has cropped up, do a search for "no image"  (with quotes) and display

Could someone PLEASE explain how & why a cookie is used as part of the search function?  I'm going to go dig through the code, but any info from the code developers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
